Jewel in the Rough

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, I am fleeing the metropolis next year and heading to Honduras to teach science to local middle schoolers in Copan Ruinas (look for the tree marked Ruinas de Copan on the map below). The school is called Mayatan, and it is a private, non-profit K-9 school. I’ll post a few more updates throughout the summer, but the really interesting stuff will come after August 7th, when I arrive in Copan for my “cultural orientation.”
